Staying up to date with your credit score can be hugely valuable, especially when you are approaching a mortgage application. It gives you the opportunity to correct mistakes in your report and improve your credit score over time, which can make borrowing easier down the line.
We always recommend CheckMyFile to our customers because it allows you to see your credit history and score from all three major credit reference agencies in the UK (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) in one place. This approach allows you to fully understand and improve your credit situation and gives you insight into what lenders will see if they run a hard credit check on you. If you want to learn more about CheckMyFile, please read our popular guide, ‘What is CheckMyFile and is it the Best Way to Check My Credit Score?’
We recommend you stick with CheckMyFile if you’re able to, so you can keep an eye on your credit score and make improvements. However, we understand that many people wish to cancel their subscription when they are not approaching a mortgage application. For this reason, we’ve put together a handy step-by-step guide to cancelling CheckMyFile, which you can work through below.
